I'm having a strange problem with ActiveSync and the GS5. It seems that only certain Outlook Calendar items will not sync with the phone. I'm using both the default calendar app and the calendar included with Touchdown. Both calendars exhibit the same behavior. It appears that the offending calendar items are meeting requests, either created by myself or other people. It makes no difference if I accept them or not, they will not show up in either calendar. I unticked the option to hide declined events, no change. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.
