Help Outlook has destroyed my contacts

I installed the new Outlook app and it has added a gazillion new contacts from emails I have sent and received. I have since uninstalled the app but am now stuck with the contacts it created. I have tried deleting some of them but they do not disappear when I delete them. When I try to go into one...it tells me "contact not found". How can I resolve this? Is there a way to edit the contact list from my computer as this will be much faster than scrolling through the list on my phone and selecting each one to delete.

That is specific to Google contacts...not the Contacts on my phone which is a compilation of the contacts from all of my contacts. My Google mail contacts are fine...my phone contacts are not.
