Outlook sync - can't find a solution for my situation

Now that the Outlook- Google calendar sync is dead I am trying to find a solution. I have to use Outlook in my State government job. Staff use it extensively for meeting invites, etc.

I do not want to put Exchange on my personal phone because it then makes it discoverable under State open records requests. As such, I use the phone's browser to read mail via OWA. It's a pain but it is what it is. Not being able to mirror my calendar on my phone is making me crazy!

Any suggestions? I'm not married to Google Calendar so I am fine with leaving it. I just want to get my entire life in one spot. Thanks!

Let me say that I sympathize. I used Google Calendar Sync, too. :(

This article has some (not free) options ... Syncing Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar: a Guide to the Nightmare - Personal Tech News - WSJ. There are other workarounds and kludges posted, but most will require you to do some of the work and aren't as simple as GCS.

The other issue you will have is with the State. Since it is a govt. account you better be very certain that whatever you choose to try is permitted and won't jeopardize you or your job.

Been using the free version of GSyncit for the last year or so. Only need the 1 calendar (no tasks and contacts) syncing so is perfect

Thanks for the great responses. I think I will end up going with gsync. :)

I think you will be happy with Gsyncit. I paid the $20, not because I needed to sync more than one calendar, but because I think this company deserved to be awarded for such a good product.
