Outlook Sync Questions

Newbie
I am a new Droid user and one of the big things for me is complete Outlook Sync: Contacts, Calendar, Notes and Tasks. I downloaded the demo of Companion and with Deja Office on the phone, it does a decent if not a little convoluted job on syncing. My trial is about up and before I plop down $30.00 for Companion, is there another option out there to sync all 4 of those Outlook items?
