Outlook Sync

Hello Android Helpers,

I'm sure there is a post already on this forum, but couldn't find what I needed, so my apologies for a repeat question. I'm a new user to the Galaxy family, a convert from BlackBerry (don't judge).

Device: Galaxy S6 Edge
How do I sync the Galaxy to my Outlook email/calendar/notes?

Do I have to purchase a third party app?

I don't know if the S6 email app can sync your Outlook calendar, but people apparently are having a lot of problems with the Samsung email client. IMHO you would be ahead to ditch it now in favor of a better client.

You can install the Outlook email client, but it's reputation is less than stellar.

A better choice might be one of the other email clients.

I know AquaMail supports syncing Outlook calendar and contacts and is a terrific all-around email client, my favorite:

There's other email apps to choose from but offhand I can't say for sure what ones support syncing Outlook calendar. Possibly MailWise or Type Mail. You'll just have to do a little research.
