Ouya Acquisition Results in Pulled Funds from Indie Developers

With the Ouya Kickstarter garnering tons of attention and initial funding, the company created what was called the Free the Games Fund. This pledged up to $1 million dollars to help match the amount of money that developers had crowdfunded to develop and release a game on the Ouya gaming platform.

Indie developers are now reporting that this fund has disappeared due to the acquisition by Razer. Developers who have chosen to remain anonymous have told Engadget that "Razer/OUYA's insistence that these deals are gone is causing us to have to majorly restructure our plans leading up to release," and that they are owed more than $30,000
