Root Overclocking apps?

Lurker
So i just went from my Droid X to the Razr and i cant find anything to overclock my Razr. Is there anything out yet? From what the Verizon rep told me hes heard of people getting the Razrs up to 1.7ghz so there's got to be something out there.

Any ideas?

Did and none of them support the Razr...

What did you do, look at a couple on the list and get bored? If you would have kept searching you would have found this one that's specificaly made for Motorola phones and Razr is included in the list.

Should I post the link or not?..............

2000+ people gave it a 5 star rating so it must be good for something.
For some reason posts I made keep sliding off the forum...

Trying again:
Just because something is popular doesn't make it good for this situation. For example, this will change your build.prop file, and the uninstall process is not clear if it restores the default build.prop. Without a backup, I'd be leery of using this when it dorks with system files.

If you install the program and then update it you will see it offers a one click optimization and a one click removal of same, I've been using it all day and it definately makes a difference but the trade off is it wipes out the battery PDQ.

Right, saw that. Can you confirm the uninstall returns the phone to stock?

I don't want to screw the pooch on future OTAs by messing up system files I can't return to stock...

I also kind of guessed it should burn up battery, have you tried settings to throttle the CPU to save battery instead?

No confirmation, just have to take the word of the dev that made it, he regulars XDA forum and even if the files screw up an OTA (highly doubtful) you can always flash it back to the stock ROM also posted on XDA.
