Overriding native SMS App's send button in Android

Hi

I 've developed one Android Sms Sending app. I 've used intent-filter in androidmanifest.xml so that whenever a person tries to send sms to a contact by long pressing the displayed contact, a pop up menu appears asking him whether he wants to send the SMS using my app or native SMS application. Then if I select my application the person can send SMS using my application.

Now this is done for the Contacts application. The same phenomena of choice pop up should happen when I press Send button in native SMS Application

I don't believe that's possible unless you change the source of the native SMS app and provide your own APK that changes the program's behavior.
