Package Disabler App Real Deal? or not

Copied this from another thread is this legit or was it just a claim to get the app purchased?

Install the Package Disabler App and eliminate the bloat and other crap that sucks power and you'll go 18-24hrs on a single charge with normal use. Blows me away daily.

You can go into the app manager and disable built-in apps already. You won't save any storage space but the apps won't load into memory or consume CPU time. The battery savings will likely be minimal though.

The app you mentioned sounds like snake oil.

This is what I do now. I was losing battery a rapid state and somehow through a app update MS office had three apps running in the background. I disabled them and couple others I had no idea were running and battery is back to running all day

This app is very real. True, you can disable many apps in the built in Application Manager but not as many as you can using Package Disabler Pro.
+1,worked for me when I was last unrooted/stock,a few weeks ago.

Be CAREFUL with Package Disabler though. I LOVE it but I made the mistake of putting my phone in ultra power saving mode but I disabled something that made it impossible for me to take the phone out of the mode. I had to restore back to factory.

It's EASY to prevent this problem though. Just remember to save your Package Disabler settings to a file and reenable everything before you turn on Ultra Power Saving Mode. They are right there in the menu for Package Disabler. Then when you disable ultra power saving mode you can load up the file and disable all pf those features you don't need.

Oh, I'd be afraid to mess with them anyway.

You'd be surprised how much you can disable w/o hurting a thing.
Any of the Samsung apps are pretty much fair game, although I'd leave the TW Launcher /keyboard intact.
Any of the S-Stuff can be disabled, including the whole suite of "Smart Apps" (Cheetah Mobile Spyware).
Google+/Hangouts/Movies/Books/Music/Talkback can be disabled.

If there's pre-installed apps you'd like to disable, but, don't have the option, giveus a list& we'll try to determine whether it's safe to disable before you take the plunge.
Pretty much all carrier bloat can be disabled w/o consequence.
