Help pair my kindle hdx with my Toshiba notebook

My ultimate goal is to have my Bluetooth Logitech K480 keyboard being the vehicle that drives both the Kindle HDX and Toshiba totally Linux. preferences shows Bluetooth and was not paired so inserted Edimax adapter with same negative results. I do have both these devices cabled to 23 inch HDMI enabled 23 inch flat screen with high end Bose speakers. Only included that to give you some insight into my 83 year old brain "smiles"

I'm not sure I understand your request. You state in the text you want to have your BT keyboard paired to the Toshiba and Kindle yet the title of your post suggests you want to pair the Kindle and the Toshiba so I'm confused (it's not a rare occurrence!). I do know that you will struggle pairing the keyboard with Linux. It seems it can work but not using the GUI
