Pairing Huawei watch to S7

Recently upgraded my Note Edge to a Galaxy S7. Now my Huwawei smartwatch cant seem to find the phone during searches. Same thing when the S7 looks for the watch. Is this a software issue? Do i need to update the watch or something?
 
I had similar issues with my Galaxy S7 edge and Tag Heuer Connected. I recently (last week) had an Android Wear update for my Connected which seems to have resolved the issue. I guess Android Wear needed to be tweaked to work properly with Marshmallow.
 
Watch seems to be running Android os 6.0.1 which is the same as my phone. Ill have to keep checking for updates on the App store or something.
Is your duo working fine now?
