Palm Calendar for Android

OK, I looked at the 'similar' threads before posting this one. Seems they are all requesting what I am requesting, and there is nothing out there yet.

I want the Palm Calendar for Android. Period.

The big issue for me is that I use the calendar as a task reminder as well as a calendar, as it seems most Palm users do.

I need to be able to set a repeating notification, audio and vibrate, that repeats every 5 minutes or so until the item is canceled, or delayed. I do NOT need a critical appointment reminder. I can create that myself with the Palm calendar by just setting the notification time AHEAD of the actual appointment. Otherwise, the notification should go off at the time I want the reminder, and then continue to remind until delayed or canceled.

To set a repeating notification, I should not have to create 5 separate notifications with a 5 minute time delay between them. This should be automatic.

I have a number of recurring reminders that I need to set. Every Monday morning I need to clear the ATM terminal at my shop. I also need to do that at the end of every month. Some things (like taking my blood pressure medication) I need to do every day. You'd think by now that I'd remember to do that. I don't. :(

Google calendar could serve as a basis rather than reinventing the wheel. Lets just add a repeating alarm that does not require a lead time on the notification, as well as an easy way to 'snooze' the notification, or reschedule it. This only has to be an overlay.

If any of you have used the Palm calendar, then you know what we want. :)

There is money to be made here. Just search this and other forums for "palm" and "calendar" and see how many unanswered posts there are requesting this very feature.

Thanks for listening.

Frank.

OK, after much hair pulling and googling, I came across RemindMe. This simple app appears to add repeating alarms to the default calendar app. While this is enough to keep me from sending this Droid (Milestone) back and returning to my Treo 650, I am still hoping for more.

RemindMe lacks a calendar view for the input, which the Palm calendar allows. I have to calculate what date next Monday is before I can set an event with an alert.

We still need a decent calendar app for Android.

Frank.

YES! I used Agendus for my Centro and LOVED it. Did everything I needed... added journal notes to contacts after completing a meeting, linked tasks to contacts... Certainly there is something out there that is a relational system such as this? I don't want to maintain 6+ calendars in Google for each family member plus businesses, etc.
