Pantech Discover Lag/Comatose/Text problems

My biggest problem with this phone is that it seems to go into deep sleep/ hibernation and then randomly pull 38 new emails, 14 missed text messages, etc... even in an area with 100% signal. This usually happens when I pick up the phone or check the time... or it can happen randomly when the phone is just siting there.

Also, has anyone else been having trouble with keyboard lag, orientation lag, etc?

I sort of cheaped out on this one after always having the latest and greatest and I'm really kicking myself. I tried to take it back to AT&T but apparently the window has shrunk to 14 days now for a return.

Similar effect here, especially with whatsApp; for example, a delayed message would show up only after picking up the Discover and opening the whatsApp app.

I had assumed either something with the whatsApp system, or perhaps that the app had automatically updated and the notifications settings had been changed. I hadn't considered it could be a Discover issue.

I hadn't considered it could be a Discover issue.

Yeah, I have the same issue with all forms of communication- I even pick up the phone, check the screen, and voicemails pop up with no missed calls.

I've tried several different texting apps, and they all have the same issue.

I'm really unhappy with the phone.

I can't wait to get to my upgrade.

I've been having the same problems. I've also experienced apps that I'm using just shut down for no reason. Example: I'll open up an app, click on something, and it'll just shut down that app and return to my home screen. Anyone else?

Thank goodness I though I was the only one. I've done two factory resets and had Att replace the phone and none of the issues have been resolved. Still having apps crash on me, along with sudden floods of missed calls and texts. Notifications stop appearing randomly and I get the same texts twice. Is there any way to fix this?

OK, so I'm not the only one who spontaneously had their email stop auto-updating or notifying them for no apparent reason. I also routinely have it not ring at all when someone calls me at home, which shouldn't happen quite so often even with my lousy reception, and sometimes it doesn't even give me the voicemail notification for hours after a message gets left. Colossal pain in the arse.

All this crap started happening a little over a month ago and I hadn't gotten around to bugging Pantech about it, but now this makes me wonder if it isn't an unresolvable issue with the phone model entirely. It'd be too bad, too. I really like the phone otherwise. Guess we'll see. Sounds like no one else has managed to fix these types of problems yet.

So these are actually problems with the phone itself not the service??
I'm in Arizona and have AT&T and phone was great when I got it! But I've had it for about 3 months now and it's so laggy now. My data is spotty, even when connected via wifi... and sometimes I also don't get my text messages or calls but will get voicemails and even more weird I will sometimes get a mms but when I open it to download it will vanish and re-appear as "unknown" ....freakin' weird! I was starting to think my phone was possessed! lol

Has anyone faced problems with the gaming experience..??? apart from the communication issues with the discover..

Yeah, one of my games crashes all the damn time, and now the other one I play regularly has started to crash a little bit, too. It's really freakin' annoying.
