paradise island help needed asap please!!

My boyfriend has an EVO and he is really big into Paradise Island. Problem is that since they updated the game and you have the ability to visit other islands, have friends, and like others islands', no one can come to his. It says network error check connection. Can anyone pleasehelp???!!
