Parallel Kingdom & battery life

It was, but I changed a lot of different things at once, so I am not sure what has done it...

I stopped using Helix.
I stopped using a task killer.
I also set my screen to sleep at 30 seconds.
I told it to just use the wireless networks to get my location instead of GPS satellites.

The client has been updated in the last couple of days also.

The thing that really seemed to help was dumping Helix and not using the GPS satellites.

yes gps is what kills it.

i dont use helix or task manager and my screen sleeps after 30 secs also.

i have the update but i still use gps for relocation.

where do you set your location based on wireless networks?

you mean just uncheck gps? cause that doesnt work at all

On the Droid:
Settings>Location and Security Settinges

There are two check box options in My Location. One for Determine location based on wireless networks and another for using GPS satellites. It isn't a radio button so you can have both of them on. I just unchecked the Use GPS.

I don't know if that is what helped or not. In so doing, I have varying success with pinpointing my location, but it really gets confused if I have them both on. It might be a Droid thing. Maybe they took that option out of the Nexus because it doesn't get as flaky?

no. the option is there. i just tried it.

hmm it does work....

i figured unchecking the gps would make you not be able to relocate, but you can.

ill see how much better the battery life is now.

Only use a location setting to get places. Once you are in a spot, turn it off. Even with all the battery saving tips mentioned above, you will still have a good drainage. Mostly because you don't realize how much time you are spending playing it!

4 hours of playing? Yeah, PK + Pandora kills it pretty fast. I usually don't get to play in a long stretch of time but Wednesday, I really felt your pain. The phone was pretty hot afterwards too.
