Root Partial root?

Instead of rooting my whole phone can I root just 2 files : bootanimation.zip and boot.wav ? I want to know because I don't want to mess anything up and just change my boot animation. If so, will .jpg files work instead of the .lz files used?

no you need full root control there is not such thing you ask of sorry. you can rename your bootanimation.zip to .bak and rename your new bootanimation to bootanimation.zip and change the permissions with root browser or root explorer. hope this helps and enjoy.
