partymob.com keep sending me ringtones

Hi guys - ive recently noticed that my last 3 or 4 bills from O2 show some money being charged for ringtones recieved from partymob.com . I do not remember or ever ordered a ringtone from them..ive tried to text "stop" and "stop all" to 83726 but the sms doesnt get delivered. I rang O2 who told me that it was partymob.com who keep charging me...they have put a barr on premiumun rate numbers, however this has also stopped me from accesing wap on my htc desire..i told o2 this and they said i can dial a number and have the parental control lifted, however this would allow partymob.com charge me again...i have rang partymob on 0871 222 0773 but they say im not on their system...only alternative is to get a new number...dont really want to do that as ive had the same number for years..any help and dvice..ta

would think O2 could just block partymob from your line...
yes i told them that and they put a barr on premium rate text/sms messages..however i couldnt send "STOP ALL" to 83726, now that they have lifted the barr on premium numbers i still cant send this stop message to 83726 so partymob can stop sending me ringtones...it keeps coming back as not being recongnised..ive reset my phone and wap is now working, but still cant send the stop text message...

Well, sounds like an issue for PartyMob to take care of to me...do you have anything like the Better Business Bureau? They don't have any authority to do anything, but in the US most businesses will bend over backwards to keep from getting a bad BBB rep. If PartyMob won't work with you...another option is to have a lawyer send them a kindly worded letter :) Usually scares them into taking care of the issue...even if your intent isn't to pursue legal action.

thanks guys, will need to do something..i rang partymob..they said they dont have my number on their system, strange i said as o2 clearly told me where the sms was originating from..she put me on hold for a minute and said one of the engineers will contact me...will wait and see, will give it a few days...or see my next bill as o2 have now put a barr on premimium rate numbers on my account...worst case scenario is that i may ahve to change my mobile number, had this number for over 10 years..
