how to set password for sms in htc one mobile

Hi, welcome to Android Forums.
The only SMS password I'm aware of is for the 'Secure Box'.
To set that up, open your messaging app, go into settings - general, then scroll down to set your 'Secure Box' password.
Any messages you want to keep private, longpress to get the action box and move message to Secure Box.
