it wont stop tapping home/applications and when i text

its the enter button so it sends blanks and stuff

i reset my stuff to default but it still does it

i had malware on it before not sure if it all got removed help

Next time you turn it off, try pulling the battery out for a couple minutes. No idea if that’ll help, it’s just a harder boot.

it taps the bottom right hand corner off and on

sometimes it wont do it for 5 min

others it will go nuts do you guys think if it was plugged in during a thunder storm which there was that it could have somthing to do with it

I'm fairly certain that's a hardware problem - it was when one of my Samsung phones did that, and you've done what could be done to clear.

I'm afraid that you'll need to take it in for service or replacement.

i didnt buy the phone brandnew i bought it from kijiji

will they still repair it this was my first android i know nothing about them really

As I understand it, kijiji is a classifieds listing like eBay.

So, not sure if the seller was a person or a business - you'll have to check.

Have you had it long?

There's the off chance that there's a smudge or something on the screen that makes the phone thing that part of the screen is constantly being touched. Other than that, it's a hardware issue.

i looked at my phone in the glare of the sunlight and there is like a tiny scratch near that area would i be able to fix this manually?

Can't hurt to try your Telus store. If they don't, they might have a local recommendation. There are places you can send your phone to via mail, but I don't know how to advise on that for Canada.

yeah im going to try that one

Also theres this app in my applications when i look thru them on manage applications

and its name is error lol

it has acess to alot of my stuff but wont let me remove it

do you think that could do it?

is there a way i can fix that little screen scratch my self?

okay so i figured out where it touchs the screen

when im in my contacts it touchs the x its not the scratch

im pretty sure it has to be a virus

can i COMPLETLY erase every single thing that has ever been downloaded and start fresh

i did have a malware threat could this have done it

im giving 10$ paypal to the person who helps me fix this problem

You could see if that kijiji seller will give you your money back, unless you know this problem happened on your watch.

Viruses on Android phones are so incredibly rare it's extremely unlikely you've got a virus. If you do, wiping the phone will fix it, but hardware problems are far more likely. It's already been suggested that you take the phone to the carrier. I don't know what else anyone could suggest beyond that.

There are NO Android viruses. There is some Android malware and a virus is one form of malware, but there's no Android viruses.

This definitely sounds like a hardware problem, especially since it apparently started after being plugged in during a storm.
