Is there a delay from paypal to your credit card if you pay for an item through paypal but onto your credit card?

That's how I use paypal, I've not noticed any more delay than using the card directly online.

Yes. I have a PayPal credit card, and even with that, my last purchase took several days to post.

Some quick Googling shows 2-3 days which is in line with what I've experienced.

I'm actually waiting for the verification item that I submitted today to show up on a new account and I'll report back on how long it takes.

I always thought it also had to do with the credit card Bank. It's possible the delay could be coming from the online statement system of the Bank.

Buy gas with a paypal card sometime at the pump and youll see how the system really works. They only charge your account $1 to make sure its valid, then 3+ days later when the full payment clears, the dollar is returned. Other payments seem to have hidden this delay pattern but suspect they all do the $1 thing, you just don't see it......

I've never seen small charges ($1) appear on my PayPal credit card. This was a purchase of a custom made article, so it's possible that the vendor didn't charge me until they started work.
