Root Pc Turned Off While Doing A Update HELP

I was doing a update with my Samsung galixy s vibrant with kies and it got to the part were its installing the new update and of course with my great luck my dads vacuuming and it blows a breaker ... the computer shuts off now i'm stuck with a connect to computer sign on the phone and have no clue what to do next. Can somone please help! Thanks.

I've read that some people have succeeded getting out of this problem by pulling the battery, waiting 10 or so seconds, putting it back in and then rebooting.

Have you tried putting it into download or recovery mode?
1. Turn off phone, simultaneously press vol down home and power.
2. Turn off phone, simultaneously press vol up home and power wait for the white galaxy s screen comes up, then release.

If those don't work I'm not entirely sure there's anything you can do. You might wanna check out xda developers and ask in the sgs questions forums.

You need to enter download mode via the 3 button combo. Volume down + Home + Power. If you can't enter download that way, you will need to make a homemade factory jig to get into download mode. [HOWTO] [REF] Get Download Mode without 3-button combo using homemade JIG - xda-developers
