PDA net for Mac

Lurker
Hi all, I'm new here, please be gentle with me!

I have an HTC Desire, and I use an iMac. In a few weeks we are moving house and office, my new broadband will not be active for a few weeks, so I'd really like to use my phone as modem to get online during that time (I have unlimited internet).

I have dowloaded PDAnet on my Desire, and have downloaded the Mac verison on my iMac.

I have successfully managed to get online using the USB tether, but the only problem seems to be that if I type anythign on the keyboard I get a whole screen full of that letter. So I type one "w" in the address bar, and the whole line is filled with "w's".

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so is it fixable?

Thanks

Anyone who is interested, I think I've solved my own problem! I had the phone plugged into a USB extender yesterday, when the keyboard went mad. Today I tried it plugged straight into the back of the imac, and success!

Does anyone know if the paid for version of the app allows you to access secure sites, I use Roundcube webmail, and whilst I could see the inbox, I couldn't compose a new message. I don't mind paying the $30 if it solves the problem.
