pda.net question

Jd37055

Lurker
I would like to use my droid x to get my laptop on the internet. I only use laptop couple times a month. I have been told the pda.net app is what I need. I am not up to date on compters. Is this app easy to use or is there a better one? I have a verizon phone if this matters. Thank you

PdaNet is pretty straightforward. You install it onto the laptop while your phone is plugged into it and follow the prompts. I think you have to have your droid x set to USB debugging mode. That's in Settings->Applications->Development.

PDANet WILL block secure sites after a week or 2 unless you pay the $23 for it. It might still be on sale for $15.95, but I use it and it works great. Even picks up SMS to your computer.

I have a samsung fascinate sch-i500 droid version 2.1. I do not have tethering and portable hot spot option. Any ideas would be appreciated.
