Help pdanet 2.41 stopped working

I had pdanet 2.41 working fine with metropcs and computer using xp. last night connection dropped couldn't reconnect. I unistalled and then reinstalled and got this error message 2/3 of the way thru.

at the installing pdanet to your phone, i got this error message popped up, "Fail to handshake with device"

has metropcs fixed me so i cant tether?
