PdaNet bluetooth not working with Cisco AnyConnect VPN

Have a Droid Razr M on VZW that I just "upgraded" to KitKat without checking here first, and so PdaNet (4.15) wifi / FoxFi no longer works. OK, well USB tethering and Bluetooth does to my Windows 8.1 laptop so things aren't too bad. The main issue right now is that Cisco AnyConnect client v2.5.6005 disconnects after about 10 seconds when I'm using PdaNet's bluetooth connectivity with the helpful error msg, "The VPN client agent SSL engine encountered an error." It works fine USB tethered and used to work fine with wifi/foxfi.
Anyone seen this before? Thanks!

The latest AnyConnect client V3.1.05152 has pretty much solved the problem. It still disconnects upon first attempt to access any page behind my company's firewall, but unlike the previous version, doesn't throw an error but successfully reconnects and all appears well after that.
