I use my LG Optimus Zone 3 (Android 5.1.1) in my HOA volunteer work. I have a pdf file in memory with information on many residents including telephone numbers. This data is not conducive for inclusion in my contacts list.
I found that I could hold my finger on the phone number until it is highlighted then remove my finger. On removing my finger, the phone dialer is automatically launched with the phone number ready to dial.
I needed to upgrade to a higher OS so I purchased an LG Zone 4 (Android 7.x) from Verizon. Unfortunately, the pdf reader doesn't operate in the same manner. Is there some way to reconfigure or use a different app that will bring back my functionality of highlight and launch dialer? I have no idea of what app Android uses for pdf reader or phone dialer.
