Help people can't hear me

I've been having this problem lately where people can't hear me, it seems it is ok if I'm on bluetooth. However when just trying to use the phone a lot of the time they can't hear me. Or if they do they can barely hear me. Anyone else experience this? I'm on VZW by the way.

Open the Voice Recorder. The app uses the bottom Mic to record. Is it clear?

Yes it seems fine. Just seems to happen when i make calls, and not even ever time. Happened 4 Times in a row trying to talk to my boss. He called me twice i called him twice and he could not hear me. I finally turned on my Bluetooth. Like i said sometimes it works others it doesn't. Thought i might try a new SIM card.
