People complaining they can't hear me since updating

Frankie

I have an original T-Mobile G1 phone, the one without the headphone jack. The other day I decided I would root the phone since I'd like to have root access, and ended up loading the JesusFreke 1.5.1 OS on the system after all was said and done. I do have root access now and the phone does work (albeit a little buggy), but the big issue I have is that people say I'm really tinny/distorted now when I talk to them. I can usually hear people fine, but they're having trouble hearing me. Is there something I can check out on the phone itself?

Model: T-Mobile G1
Firmware: 1.5
Baseband: 62.33.20.08H_1.22.12.29
Kernel: 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf jesusfreke@spork #2
Build: CRB43

In posting, I noticed myself that my baseband was WAY out of rev. Installed the latest so I'm at 2.22.19.26I now. I'm gonna see if that fixes it up for me.
