Percent of Google Play Features

We just had our app featured by Google Play in the New + Updated section - candiDate. Does anyone know what percent actually get featured? I wanted to share the news but someone told me it's not newsworthy. I wanted to do some press outreach but I'm being told they won't cover just being featured.
