Help Permanently stuck on splash screen when starting phone :(

I was playing on a game app, when I closed it the screen went black and phone shut itself off. I turned it on. Splash Samsung S keeps flashing but phone doesn't start.

Any clue how to fix this? Any help much appreciated!

Edit: I left it on and after like 7 mins it started! Problem solved I think!?

Where you able to fix your phone?
Can you get into Download mode?
