Android Question

Guest
I just bought a Bluetooth controlled led light. Its made in China. The app is requesting totally unreasonable and absurdely wide permissions I shall not grant but I am now out of my investment. My money back? Good luck with bought in a foreign country. Android developers and marketers: its MY phone. I Want total control over MY nexus 5 phone. This IS evil! If I change a setting I need to contact the app support to get it working...please return our power and responsibility anything less is not constructive.
Thank you

I'm not sure what you want anyone to do. Your complaint is with the manufacturer of the LED light. Whether they asked for blanket permissions for malicious purposes or just through sloppy coding we obviously don't know, but you are right to be cautious.

There are permission management options (hidden, but there are many apps which will access them). However, since 4.4.2 (I think) you need to root the device to do this, but if you want total control of your device I assume you've done this. Look up the term "app ops" for more information.
