Help Persistent Notification in Drop down Shade

I really hate the persistent notification in the drop down shade. Every time I turn my N6 on it shows up on the screen. I have since blocked it from my screen when I turn it on.

When I pull down the drop down shade I see it.

Is there any way with or without root to keep it from showing up ALL THE TIME?

If you open the Apps list from Settings, then select Android Wear, what happens if you check the box to disable notifications?

It stops the app from showing up on my lock screen but not from appearing in my drop down shade.

If you're rooted the xposed module "notify clean" will allow got to selectively block notifications (including persistent ones). It didn't block all notifications from an app, just those that you specify.

I use it to get rid of the persistent "Wi-Fi connected" notification" on my device.
