PES 2011 start up problem!

Hey,

Just got my Galaxy S a few days ago, and I was just fiddling around with the files folders and I accidentally deleted the com.konami.PES2011 data folder for the game Pro Evo 2011 soccer. I thought i could just re-download the files again since I still have the app but nope..i can't, when its at the download screen it says
"download error. the server is not available or validation of the files is not successful. pls try again later".

Help? Suggestions?

Edit 2: Sorry for not saying how I fixed, but it came back now.

What i did yesterday was I put the download files in the "Android" folder into 'data' in the internal SD card.

BUT today it happened again...==' any help?

EDIT 3 MOST LIKELY PROBLEM SOLVED: OKAY! i think ive broken the deadlock. check your wifi/internet connection. if you're connected to the internet, DISCONNECT !!!! then open the game. it should work now.

Hope this helps all....or just tell me what's wrong and i'll try to fix it. =)

Come on man! Don't just say it's solved. Tell us how you did it, so when others google this problem they will knows the solution too!
 
This is really annoying. The loss of this game forced me to purchase rs 2011... never will I purchase a crappy Gameloft product again.
 
I have an other problem with pes 11. After i downloaded it, and opened the program it says the validation of the files is not successfull. After a check i find out that the com.konami.PES11 file is missing. Can anybody help me?

I dont think PES 2011 is by gameloft. its Konami. I believe that you may fix it by putting your downloaded files 'com.konami.PES2011' something like that into the "data" folder which is in the 'android' folder.

Sorry, yeah i wrote how i did it. But today the problem came back. hmmm dont know the solution this time. i tried doing the same method as before but nope.... didnt work.
 
OMG I FIGURED IT! well i think i did...basically CHECK IF YOU ARE CONNECTED TO INTERNET OR NOT! IF YOU ARE THEN DISCONNECT NOW!!! then try it =) should work.
 
fixed it, I would post solutions to the public but this forum might see it as swaying around paying for the application and Im not sure of the forums rules .

Basically I Downloaded the old version 1.0.1(current one is 1.04) and instead of downloading the extra 50MB through wifi or 3g, i just dled that on the computer and extracted it to com.konami.pes2011

This only problem is because this game allows internet permission,when internet is on I cant play it so I need to turn on that airplane option.. is there a way to edit the files or something to block internet permission to this game?
 
never mind, just the first run you do make it airplane mode.. then u can turn it off and itworks,. pm me if you want the files and ill give further instructions if needed
 
nevermind, i tried reboot and still get that error so i did the airplane mode and it worked.. i just need to find a way to bock internet permission fromt his gameif anyone is good with coding
 
So if i understand correctly, I have to start the game while in airplane mode? I tried that but it just makes me go to a screen where i can turn on wifi.

Edit: Also, my folder is named us.konami.pes2011, not com.konami.pes2011, does that make a difference?

So ur saying that even after you have your downloaded files placed into the correct path, when you open app (with net connection off) it still asks for wifi to turn on to download more stuff?
 
if you look in the reviews section in the android market for this game, this game has quite a lot of negative feedbacks. mmm..i guess its developers fault too? im not sure, just guessing.
Also from the feedbacks i've read, its also likely the fact that the newer version (1.04) is the problem.
 
Sort of solved here, I removed the game and download the latest version from the market, seems to trying to update and the server is not responding.

You can also get round it by disabling the network connection and wifi.

EDIT: They have fixed it but if the problem still exists.. you can try this method

the cause of the download error is due to the new update 1.0.4

so basically here is the breakdown of instructions. unfortunately I am in school atm so I don't have the files with me. I will put them up on megaupload or mediafire.

1) Uninstall current PES 2011 version. Do it through settings>Applications>Manage Applications>all



2) download the files. It will come with the apk and the 50~100MB of update files which is in a separate zip. This 50MB is the files that the download error is blocking from users to get the content from so the idea is that you download it from computer and extract it to the correct folder via usb connection.


3)Put the apk into a folder you can retrace to. I placed my apk into the sd root.

4) After installing, run the game once. It's going to give you the same download error. Why do this? it creates base folder (com.konami.pes2011) into android folder located in sd.

NOTE: if however it does not show up. go back to the application manager and locate pes2011, press and set it to 'move to sd'

5) extract the zip and place the 'files' folder into com.konami.pes2011. doing this will rewrite the existing files folder already in com.konami.pes2011.

6) Before playing the game, set your phone to airplane mode. This blocks out all wireless connections. This is the reason why one is unable to play the game with current version(1.0.4).

7) run the game and the game will prompt with a validation. Press it and it will go into the Konami logo. You may tap homescreen then turn off the airplane mode now as you've already bypassed through the update stage.

NOTE: On every reboot, you need to go through this airplane mode process to play the game. but once you do it on reboot, it will work even if you kill the app with appmanager.



8) Check the PES2011 game on the android market from time to time to see if they came out with a newer update.. You never know if they've adressed the issue. :)

<uses-permission= "INTERNET_ACESSES"> ( or something simlar ) off of it but haven't tested it out. what I am predicting is that the game will no longer do the internet checkup so people can play without going through the whole airplane mode process.

For those that sees this on the thread and needs the files contact me via PM like this user. If this is in anyway of form breaching the forums rules, please let me know. I want to be a contributing member of this site.

Last note, this instruction is pretty much watered down word for word so you shouldn't have any issues following the steps, however, if you are stuck on a step let me know. If the problem still exists, I am not sure how to help because it worked for me.

Guys I found a solution and it is working fine now. The solutions are:
1) Downloading files using computer
A)go to bestandroiddownloads.com and download the cache
B)extract it to sd/android/data/

2)downloading files using mobile
A)download androzip from the android market
B)download the cache from the phone and extract it using androzip
C)put it in sd/android/data/

hey i have tried the above things but it doesnt work . i have tried all things . i have also installed the version 1.0.1 of this game still that extra download requires come . please help
