Philips Hue/IFTTT location issues

Hi guys,

I'm having problems with my Philips Hue and IFTTT not recognising my location to control my lights. As it's happening to both phones, I think it's got to be something screwy with the location not being detected correctly on my handset.

Sometimes it does work as soon as I get home but other times, it can take several hours and then it will suddenly kick in the script and action when it realises.

Have you tried excluding those apps from the background battery restrictions? Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Hue > Advanced > Battery > Battery optimization; mark it as Not optimized.

Thanks for that. I've just checked and it is already set to Not optimized

Hmm, then I'm not really sure what else to suggest. I've seen similar issues with various apps; I think they just don't poll for location frequently enough to depend upon for location-aware tasks.
