Phillips Hue bulk pricing, packages, and deals?

I'm going to dive into smart lights head first and outfit my entire house. It's going to be expensive as I'll be buying a ton of bulbs (50+), but it doesn't seem like there are any Phillips Hue bundles or packages that give you better deals when you buy a bunch. Am I missing something?

Right now I plan to wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday or Interwebz Whatever Day to score some type of deal on these, but I'm wondering if there is anything to know from our Smart Light experts in the house?

Let's hear it.

I guess it depends on what you want to do and how you want to set it up. The problem I had with the Philips smart stuff is you need their hub to talk to it. At least you did, if you wanted all the cool features. If they changed that, then I can remove my one objection.

Also, whether you use Google Assistant or Alexa to control stuff would make a difference. I settled on TP-Link bulbs and switches which do work very well. And without any type of hub or bridge. You will need their Kasa app to set them up, but then Google Assistant will control them directly.

So far I've got 4 smart plugs, two smart switched and 4 smart bulbs. Honestly, the only one I have ever used the dimming feature with was the bedroom nightstand and then only very infrequently.

As far as bulk prices, I don't see any either, but they do have deals, but you have to snap them up at the time.

I have EUFY (Anker sub brand) bulbs and TP-Link plugs. I control them with both Alexa and OK Google and they don't require any hubs.

A Philips Hue Hub comes with their starter kit. That's was like $99 when i i bought mine last year around Black Friday. 4 full color bulbs and a Hue Hub IIRC. I'm pretty sure the Hub can handle 50 bulbs at a time. Individual color bulbs are ridiculously expensive though.

A grand would get you 40 bulbs but what would you do with the extra Hubs?
