Accessories Phonax hearing aid compatablity?

Milo Willamson

Android Expert
Anyone else have Phonax rechargable M90 kit , and can they synch to a moto g7?

I am looking at the techincal aspects as well.

(i.e. XT2041-5, XT2041-6, -7, DL M3 T3)

I have Phonak Naida V90 UP but I still need to get the ear molds and get a recent audiogram before I to send them off for programming. The ones I have use batterys. I know very little about them because I bought them used from Ebay.

"The new Naida V90 UP is thinner and smaller than its predecessor with a newly designed form factor. The power output on the hearing aid has been increased giving it even more sound performance which allows it to deliver for even the most profound hearing loss.

It is powered by a 675 battery and can also be fitted with a power slim tube and custom tip. This is definitely the smallest 675 traditional type hearing aid solution for profound hearing loss I have ever seen. It will give people with profound hearing loss a more discreet solution."

To my knowledge , the V90 UP requires an additional component in order to pair with an android. This was the same with the old Starkey's. The Siemen's Im currently wearing the same thing. How odd, my inexpensive $50 Bluetooth headphones pair with ease. I'm not sure but, I've heard it has to do with an Apple business deal but I've always felt it was just a way to sell another product and increase revenue.
I meant to post a response sooner and add an image but I kept getting an error. In, fact I just discovered a the max upload is 2Mb's and my image was 5Mbs.

Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful my friend.

PS: When the audiologists recommend the Siemens brand hearing aid's, I told him " Im not putting Siemens in my ear. Home don't play that" lol :)

I use the ReSound Preza aids. They paired with my Note 10+ via their Smart 3D app using a BLE (bluetooth low energy) connection. I simply opened up the app and it went looking for nearby aids to pair to. I love that connection and would hate to be without it. The only problem I've found is the aids are supposed to shut off when placed in the charger case. However, they remain on while charging and all phone notifications go to the aids and aren't heard. Turning the aids off prior to charging is a simple work-a-round.

I wish I knew something helpful about the Phonak brand to lend. When I was aid shopping I was specifically looking for BT compatibility and the ReSound brand seemed the most promising. It's a shame there isn't better information for the consumer out there. Spending as much as we have to for a quality aid should be better supported with information.

Yes, I remember you're thead a will back. In fact , I think that wherr I hear about Apple making deal's with manufacturers that prevented Android direct pairing. I was pleased to see the your hearing aids pair with android Note 10 + using an app. Hopefully the rest of the hearing aid companies do the same. Unlike most people you really dod your research and you knew what to look for in a hearing aid. :)

You know, the worst part of all the research I did prior to buying, I still wasn't 100% convinced that it was going to work. I call BS on the industry for not making it multiple times easier to be an informed consumer. I realize that BT connectivity to Android devices is very new to the market but dang... It's not like it's a small time purchase.

I really like the ReSound Preza aids and the connection for notifications works fantastic! Streaming tunes is a bit weak.
I'm accustomed to a much richer sound streamed from my Bose SoundSport Free buds. Then consider that it is a huge battery drain. Eight hours max streaming to my aids completely drain ReSounds. A bit of a bummer. It is what it is. I have no idea if the ReSound Quattro aids has a better battery life but they are a grand or better more expensive than the Preza aids.

Yes , I agree 100% , not easy find the answer before making an informed decision. A good pair of hearing aids is not what I would call inexpensive.
The Siemens I currently use aren't rechargeable. theuly use Zink air batterys unlike the older type, they say "Battery" and 5 seconds later dead. I've learned to keep spare batterys in my car, my girlfriends house, her truck and one in my wallet. The batterys generally last 5 to 7 days.
Someone on AF said an unlocked Note 10 5G wasn't compatible with with there carrier but the same unlocked Note 10 4G was. Now, I can't confirm that but who knows if you had up an extra $1000 for "a better model" and the BT didn't work as well ad the ones you have now. If you can hear and you have BT, your a lucky man Mr. @olbriar :)

Thanks for the information Mr. Javi, I too was looking at their url, and yeah with my moto is like connected, so I use an app to control it.

I just had to have a rechargeable model. I thought it to be the latest and greatest and the way to go. I've found out since that there are quite a few HA users that returned to a battery supplement plan after trying a rechargeable. My aids boasts of 30 hour up charge. It's more like 18 hours with zero streaming. Streaming one hour of tunes consumes two hours of aid life. :( The upside is the rechargeable case holds three full charges before it needs charged. I can give my aids a complete charge while having lunch. ( 1 minute of charge = 15 minutes up time) It's working well for me but I'm not so certain the replacement battery route is not just as good and perhaps superior

Mine are the recharage kind, and I can turn up them on the ear piece themselves, for whatever reasons, and just launch something so forward anyways, and just listen to the surroundings, They drop so much after streaming, like around 20% Streaming, or just in my envorirment, the light on the stand tells me of when to charge them.

Green aroun d100-80%

yellow 75-65 %

Red 55% and below.

One day they where around 12% and I was not fully set up for the next day of events though,
just something emotionally to it as well too.

I'm sure everyone adapts to whatever aids they have. I know the way of mine now but being a first timer it was a bit of a learning curve. I can turn my aids up by different combos of the on-off button on each HA. It's easier to open the app on my phone and set whatever environment I want, or one I've created, and can adjust each for speech and background if I like. Preset environments are All-Around, Restaurant, Outdoors, and Noisy Environment. I created and saved TV and Music. Each environment has different presets for noise filtering and speech clarity or you can open a sound enhancer equalizer and adjust for your personal preference. It makes them fun to play with if nothing else. :) As for battery, it will send a tone to an aid when it has a half hour charge left and again when it has five minutes. I can check the battery level in each aid from the app as well.

Thanks, the only two major things, is FDR and remove the memory card.
Still kind of feel odd though, still it is strange at the same time. It is like giving up your first love.
