Phone app

If it's a system app, go to the play store and find the app, then press uninstall, and it will say 'do you want to uninstall updates to this Android system app?' If it isn't a system app, then I don't know. (Why would you even want to uninstall updates to it anyway?)

Screen stays black when Bluetooth is in use. I read a few posts that said this is something new in the January update. Thanks for your help

Maybe turn off Bluetooth when you aren't using it, besides Bluetooth runs down your battery, I only keep it on if I need it like for transferring files.

The question then is whether the phone app was updated as part of the January update? If you sideloaded then it will have been, if not I'm not sure (the January OTA update was pretty small, so my guess is not but I'm not certain). The reason why this might matter is that if it was updated as part of a system update then you'd certainly have to roll back to an earlier system version to undo it as there would be no "updated" app to remove, just the one copy in /system/add.

That probably doesn't matter though: if there is no option to uninstall updates in Settings > Apps, then there's not a lot you can do unless you roll the whole thing back to an earlier version (which will require unlocking the bootloader, which will reset the device). Might be less hassle to report it to Google and hope they fix it, and work around in the meanwhile.

Hey, speaking of reporting things to Google, I have this problem that I started a conversation about on one of my posts, and it still hasn't been fixed in a month. How DO I report to Google?

I use my pixel buds while at work. Anytime a phone call comes in I have to wake the phone up in order to see who it is. A bit disturbing on $1,000 phone, but I'm sure Google will work it out sooner or later. Went from Samsung to Google phone because I like their software
