Help Phone bought it Korea.. need the sbf file!

Lurker
Hi all,
In my travels I bought my motorola defy phone from Korea cheap because my friend's friend owned a phone store there. I was sleeping one night when it was charging in my laptop.. the phone suddenly vibrated two times, then when I tried to use it, it was super slow.

Eventually I did a "return to factory settings" swipe. Then when I loaded it up again, all was fine for a few days, but then it started uninstalling my programs (they just kept saying "program not installed" and eventually wiped my contacts.) I didn't know what to do so I did another reformat, but this time it wouldn't start up at all.

I then tried to search for ways to fix this. I downloaded RSD Lite and an sbf file and tried putting in on the phone (I'm new to all this.. not sure the correct terminology) but now it says "Code Error" and always boots to the boot screen.

I took it to a phone store in China which is where I'm currently living. They basically said they can't repair it because they need the Korean software. I tried searching the net but I'm not sure where to find the right software for this model.

My question: Is it true that I need Korean sbf file for this phone? Where could I get it??

I appreciate it!

Perhaps hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1014586 could help you? (Remove the "hxxp" from the URL, i just can't post links yet because i don't have enough post count)
This appears to be the official, most updated flash for SKTelecom, the GSM provider in SK. I know very little about SK but tons about roaming in NK on Chinese providers... I'm wondering if you could just take one of the China Unicom SBF files and flash that instead of flashing it to SKTelecom and taking it to one of those dodgy phone stores. The one risk here appears to be that all the Chinese firmware for the Defy original can possibly break your flashlight (not camera flash, but camera flash functioning as flashlight).
All of the SBF files are hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=966537 (remove the HXXP from the URL again!)
if you want to choose your own. Remember, stay with Froyo, don't upgrade to Gingerbread.
