Phone constantly rebooting after installing custom ROMs

I use an HTC One V with Virgin Mobile. Yesterday, I took my first crack at rooting it; it worked just fine. I got it unlocked and then removed some the bloatware, but changed my mind and decided that I wanted to use a full-built custom ROM.

I've tried 3 custom ROM's. Slimbean, Angryhtc, and one other (don't remember, deleted). They all have looked really nice. I'd wipe my system, cache and everything but the SD card, and then I'd mount the zip then flash the boot file.

However, my phone is constantly rebooting. It will boot up through the typical load screen, get to the home screen, and I'll have 15 to 20 seconds of use before it restarts. I kind of need my phone tomorrow, so immediate advice would be awesome.

Hi, and welcome.

Does it work properly when you flash back to stock?

Did you make a Nandroid backup? I would just flash that, then tomorrow go to the HTC One V folders and ask them how to fix it.

Hope this helps.

PS--I just checked the folder, and I did not see any of the ROMs you flashed listed for your phone. Where did you get these ROMS? Are you sure they are made for the Virgin Mobile HTC One?

Never *ever* flash a ROM that is not made for your phone and carrier. They will not work.

I forgot to mention that even my stock backups are doing the same thing. I made 3 backups of the original OS, but they all have the exact same problem.

I can't link to the things, but they never said specifically Virgin Mobile HTC One V, they were CDSM HTC One V Roms.

They should have been okay then--the One V is only Virgin Mobile.

Join forums and go to the HCT One V folders and ask them about the rebooting. They may have a solution, or know of a way to force it back to stock.

I hope they do, and that you get your phone working quickly.
