"Phone" Contact Help

Hello everyone,

I just got my droid x and I'm loving it. I only have one small issue/concern. My old phone (Omnia) was synced to microsoft outlook. I never felt the need to use verizon's backup assistant. My old omnia completely died (won't even turn on) so I couldn't sync any new contacts or contact changes to outlook. I copied my contacts over to google and had them imported onto my DX. Well now I have google contacts but no phone contacts. Is there a way to copy your google contacts over so that they can be phone contacts as well?

The difference between Google contacts and Phone contacts is just the way it syncs. Google contacts will sync with Gmail, while phone contacts will just stay on your phone, never will sync. Your google contacts will stay on your phone however, even if you unsync with google. All of my contacts are Google contacts.

The same thing goes for the calendar as well. You will have a Google calendar and a Phone calendar. I add everything to the Google calendar, so that way it syncs with the Gmail calendar online. If I add something to the Phone calendar, it will be on my phone, but will not sync with gmail.
