Help Phone dies at 70%

My S3 will die while using ANY function on the phone. I have had the phone die with still 75% battery remaining. Is there something I can reset? I can have a mostly full battery, update my email or open facebook and the screen will flicker a little bit and bam phone shuts off. Help please

The S3 has been out quite a while now and you could have several hundred charges on the battery by now. Maybe the battery is getting tired and the meter is no longer telling the truth. If you want to keep the S3 for a while it might be worth trying a new battery. Be careful what you buy, some cheap replacements are just junk.

If a battery doesn't help or you want to try a free fix first, try going to:
Settings > Storage > Cached data > Clear cached data > OK.
If that doesn't help then there's the nuclear option - a factory reset. Be sure to backup everything first!
