Phone shows battery fully charged but starts and goes black. While operational, is there an error log to give me a clue? Guidance sought

There are logs, and apps that will let you view them (I've an old app called "Quick System Info" which lets me view logs if I want). But if the screen goes black as soon as the phone boots (which is what your post sounds like) it will be hard to use them.

Much thanks for the timely reply. Apparently it was just a battery gone bad... Replaced and fixed.
