my virgin mobile android phone wont turn back on I think I downloaded an app that messes upp my phone but I went to reset it and it says cannot load volume /misc! so whats thst mean.?

How did you try to reset it? If you think you downloaded a bad app, it could very well have messed up your recovery partition. I'm not sure which phone you have, but this might require an Odin reset.
