Help Phone is possessed using EasyTether - take 2

After VZW's latest update, the phone opens apps, acts as if options have been selected, and generally behaves as though demons have taken over the phone. I contacted EasyTether about this. They say "it isn't us" and "we don't understand what you mean by 'possessed'". Sigh...

Has anyone else seen this, with or without EasyTether?

And, of course, before the last update I could access the phone (to look at People, for example). Not now...

ADDED: EasyTether has been removed as the source of the problem. It happens with a non-EasyTether-capable USB connection, too. It appears that the latest VZW update triggered a problem that manifests itself as "demonic possesion". I have found reports of similar behavior with other phones and much earlier versions of Android OS. Unfortunately, there seems to be no explanation of the problem or a fix beyond FDR.

Again, the question is simply: "Has anyone else with a RAZR MAXX seen or experienced this problem?"

Since you took the VRZ update, I would do a FR and see what happens from there, cheers.

I once left my phone on top of a Stephen King book for several hours; it acted possessed after that, but it was also rooted, and doing an FDR resolved my problems.

FDR: It's better than exorcism!
