Help Phone keeps rebooting when I connect to wifi

Hi everyone,

So recently my Samsung S6 Edge Plus has been having a strange issue that causes the phone to keep restarting only when connected to wifi. I first cleared the cache and after not working I then did a factory reset which also didn't fix the issue. This has me worried that it may be a strange hardware issue. My phone is also rooted just in case that has anything to do with the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Will

When you rooted your phone did you just root it and keep the Samsung factory ROM, or did you install a different third-party ROM?

Just an update, it appears that the issue is isolated to my home wifi. Work wifi seems to be working fine.

So let's hope we can assume the problem has nothing to do with your phone, although you did also remove and add your WiFi network in your Settings >> WiFi too, yes?

Maybe resetting your router from scratch and re-configuring it might solve the problem. If you have your own third-party wireless router it will be easier, but even if you're using a cable or DSL modem/router supplied from your ISP you should be able to make at least some changes. Here's a pretty good guide that might be worth reading through:
