Help Phone Lost All Apps on SD Card

scambro

Lurker
I have no idea what happened, but I looked down at my phone at some point today and noticed that most of the apps on my home screen where just he Android icon. I go to my app folder and it lists most apps in gray and says SD Card next to them. Including Play Store, or whatever it's called.

I pulled the SD Card out, loaded it into my computer and I can still see the files, so I don't think the card's corrupted. I can't just install the apps over again though, because Android Market is also gone.

The phone left me stranded as I rely on it for Google Navigation all the time... Ideas? Thanks!

Have you done a battery pull and a re-boot? If not start, there. If that doesn't reset it, then go to menu>settings>applications>sd card. You can try moving them back to the phone and see if that helps. Otherwise, and this really is the last option, do a factory reset. It will put the paly store back where it belongs, which will allow you to re-install your apps. The downfall is that you also have to set your phone back up the way you like it.
