phone memory almost full

Hi guys,

Apologies if this question has already been answered several times.

My HTC desires phone memory is almost full.....

From what I hear I can't store apps from the SD card until 2.2 update is available, is this true..?

Will you also be able to run apps from the SD card with the update?
