phone not charging

[Android Question]

yesterday my samsung phone was not getting charged after n number of attempts. finally one last tym i put the phone on charging n removed its battery n again assembled it back. n to my surprise it started getting charged. since then everytime i need to charge the phone i have to follow the same procedure... i dont understand wat has happened to the phone..??? n wat is the solution ??

If the battery is not very old, it is possible it is not fitting correctly into the phone and when you replaced it, it made the contact.

you might try folding a small piece of paper a few times and wedging it at the opposite end of the battery from the contacts. If that works, that was the problem.

If the battery is older than a few months, it could very well be that it needs replacing. Depending on how you use them, and the conditions you use them in, they do not always last as long as the manufacturers claim. Amazon usually has replacement batteries that are even better than the OEM batteries. I use Anker batteries, and they are better than the HTC battery that came with my phone.
