phone not recognizing sd card

[Android Question]

I have a Motorola Android RAZR. Whenever I try to take a picture, the phone tells me I do not have an SD card. I do have one. It's in the phone. This has only been happening for a few months. I have removed and reinserted the SD card properly and still, nothing. I pay WAY to much and this phone was WAY too expensive to not even be able to take a picture.

I would download everything via mass storage to pc, so you don't loose anything, and then format sd card.
