Help Phone not taking input from controller

Hello!

I've got a non-rooted Huawei P8 Lite running on 6.0.1. I've used this phone in the past in conjunction with my bluetooth Ipega 9055 controller, which i used for NDS emulation (DraStic).

I've been wanting to get into that again recently, but I can't for the life of me get the phone to work with the controller. It detects it fine, and they pair without a problem, but the phone just doesn't repond to any input. Interestingly, it is able to take some input from the controller if i set the 9055 to iOS mode - but of course it's not ideal. Clicking a button counts as two etc..not optimal to say the least. One last thing to mention is that the controller does work completely fine with a different Android phone i tried (running Lollipop), so the problem lies elsewhere.

Does anyone know what i'm supposed to be doing? Is there some sort of Marshmallow setting I'm forgetting about? I'm not sure if I've successfully ever used Marshmallow with this controller.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Robin

Hey Robin, I've just stumbled across this now as we are having the same problem. We used an ipega pg 2091 (xbox360 look alike). It connected fine but would only take input in keyboard mode, we could map buttons for most games but keyboard mode wouldn't support analogue sticks so it was useless for most games. We have just bought a tronsmart mars g02 (Xbox one look alike) as we thought a different brand would fix the problem but we have the exact same issue. Both controllers work perfectly on my one plus 6 and other devices, it's just the p8 lite that is not working with it. Did you find a solution for this?
